Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

 

1. Aims and Scope

Cumhuriyet Science Journal (CSJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that publishes original research articles, review articles, and short communications in the fields of natural and applied sciences, including but not limited to chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, and related interdisciplinary areas.

2. Publication Frequency

Cumhuriyet Science Journal is published six times a year (February, April, June, August, October, and December).

3. Peer Review Process

Cumhuriyet Science Journal operates a single-blind peer review system.

All submissions are initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors for scope, originality, and scientific quality.

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers.

Reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the review process.

The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief.

The average review period is approximately 4–10 weeks.

5. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting to CSJ must ensure that:

The submitted work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.

All listed authors have made significant contributions to the study.

Any conflict of interest is clearly disclosed.

Research involving humans or animals complies with relevant ethical standards and approvals.

6. Research Ethics and Ethical Approval

Authors must state that:

Ethical approval was obtained from an appropriate ethics committee, when required.

7. Plagiarism Policy

All submissions are screened for plagiarism using similarity detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).

Manuscripts with excessive similarity will be rejected.

Acceptable similarity thresholds are evaluated by the editors based on context and discipline.

8. Conflicts of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the work.

Any identified conflicts of interest will be transparently handled by the editorial team.
