Bio
A surveying engineer who earned his PhD in 1997, has dedicated nearly twenty-five years of service to the Turkish Cadastre, contributing to numerous projects related to geodesy, cadastre, photogrammetry, and land information systems. Upon retiring from the Turkish General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, he spent several years in the private sector. Throughout his career, he has successfully overseen a wide range of national and international projects, encompassing cadastre and land management, photogrammetric mapping, geodetic surveying, engineering surveying, cadastre information systems, CORS_TR, NSDI_TR, 100K environ plans, regional spatial planning, agro-based land use planning, land consolidation, capacity building, and institutional strengthening, among others. Alongside his practical endeavours, he remained actively involved in academic and research institutions. Presently, he holds a position as a faculty member at Ankara University within the Department of Real Estate Development and Management, located in Türkiye.
