Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the knee joint Q angle (patellofemoral angle) and the hip joint internal and external rotation angle in male wrestlers with and without pes planus deformity. Fifteen male wrestlers with at least second-degree pes planus deformity and 15 male wrestlers without pes planus deformity were included in the study. Pes planus status was evaluated by Feiss Line method. The Q angle was measured passively in the supine position and actively during the weight transfer of the foot with a goniometer. Internal and external rotation angles of the hip joint were measured actively and passively with a goniometer in the prone position. Mann Whitney-U test was used to compare the demographic characteristics, sports years, Q angles, hip internal and external rotation angles. Active and passive Q angles of wrestlers with and without pes planus deformity were similar. Similarly, there was no difference between active and passive internal and external rotation angles of the hip joints of both sides (p> 0.05). As a result of our study, it was determined that the Q angle and the hip internal and external rotation angles were similar in male wrestlers with and without pes planus deformity. It should be kept in mind that pes planus deformity may impair the biomechanical alignment of the lower extremities and is therefore one of the postural disorders that should be evaluated.

ERKEK GÜREŞÇİLERDE Q AÇISI İLE KALÇA EKLEMİ ROTASYON AÇILARININ PES PLANUS DEFORMİTESİNE GÖRE KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI
