A Study on Pb Isotopic Characteristics of Bauxite (Milas-Muğla-Türkiye)

Abstract

The Pb isotopic composition of ores is one of the important approaches to trace the ore sources. With this study to determine the formation conditions of Milas-Kozağaç-Çamlıktepe Danişment diaspore deposits, the Pb isotopic compositions of the samples were reflected in the Doe and Zartman plumbotectonic models and the results were interpreted. According to the ratio of 206Pb/204Pb and 207Pb/204Pb; the upper continental crust falls into the lower crustal area. This indicates that the bauxite formations do not occur at these points, but that the hydrothermal solutions may be of different origin. Some examples show that there is contamination from the lower crust.

Metaboksitlerin Pb İzotopik Özellikleri Üzerine Bir Çalışma (Milas-Muğla-Türkiye)
