Rising Value in the World; Uses of Industrial Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.)

Abstract

Abstarct: Hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) is an important industrial plant used in many different areas today. The use and importance of this plant in the world has been increasing in recent years. Hemp, whose homeland is Central Asia, is widely found in nature. Fiber, seeds, stems, roots, leaves and flowers obtained from the cannabis plant are used in many different sectors. For many years, its fibers have been used for weaving, rope, tether, rope, etc. used for the purposes. This plant, which has various species and subspecies, is used illegally for drug use. For this reason, it has faced prohibitions at various times in the last century in the world. Hemp has become one of the crops whose importance has increased again in the last two decades. Cannabis sativa var. sativa, varieties developed from the species have become used by different sectors for industrial purposes. The developments in the hemp field of world have also been reflected in Turkey and interest has increased by coming to the agenda again for the last five years. It is important to increase the production areas of the hemp plant, which is still planted with permission in 20 provinces in our country, and to bring it into agriculture. It will make significant contributions to the economic development of our country in the fields of agriculture, industry and employment. In this study, the importance of the industrial cannabis plant will be mentioned, its usage areas and the future projection for our country will be presented and some suggestions will be presented.

Abstract

: Kenevir (Cannabis sativa L.) günümüzde pek çok farklı alanda kullanılan önemli bir endüstri bitkisidir. Dünyada bu bitkinin kullanımı ve önemi son yıllarda gittikçe yaygınlaşmaktadır. Anavatanı Orta Asya olan kenevir, doğada yaygın olarak bulunmaktadır. Kenevir bitkisinden elde edilen lif, tohum, sap, kök, yaprak ve çiçekler birçok farklı sektörde değerlendirilmektedir. Uzun yıllar boyunca lifleri dokuma, ip, urgan, halat vb. amaçlar için kullanılmıştır. Çeşitli tür ve alt türleri olan bu bitkinin, bazı türleri uyuşturucu amacıyla yasadışı kullanılmaktadır. Bu yüzden dünyada son yüzyıl içinde muhtelif zamanlarda yasaklamalarla karşılaşmıştır. Kenevir, son yirmi yılda yeniden önemi artan bitkilerden biri olmuş, Cannabis sativa var. sativa türünden geliştirilen çeşitler endüstriyel amaçla farklı sektörler tarafından kullanılır hale gelmiştir. Dünyada kenevir alanındaki gelişmeler, Türkiye’ye de yansımış ve son beş yıldan beri yeniden gündeme gelerek ilgi artmıştır. Ülkemizde halen 20 ilde izinli olarak ekilen kenevir bitkisinin üretim alanlarının artırılması ve tarıma kazandırılması önem arz etmektedir. Tarım, sanayi ve istihdam alanları ile ülkemizin ekonomik kalkınmasına önemli katkılar verecektir. Bu çalışmada amaç, endüstriyel kenevir bitkisinin öneminden bahsedilerek, kullanım alanları ve ülkemiz için gelecek projeksiyonu ortaya konularak bazı öneriler sunulacaktır.
