Abstract

Ultrasound-Guided Bilateral Infraclavicular Block: Case Report

Abstract

Peripheral nerve blocks are a good alternative technique for cases that do not require general anesthesia or are high risk. In cases where regional anesthesia is required in more than one region of the body, the risk for toxicity would proportionally increase as the dose of local anesthetic increases. Increasing the diversity of anesthetic applications in recent years and the ease of access to medical devices such as ultrasound in clinics have resulted in a significant reduction in the required local anesthetic dose. In this article, a patient with bilateral distal radius fractures was reported to have bilateral infraclavicular block using a low-dose local anesthetic agent.
